Summer Blast by Nathaniel Harrington

Every Summer needs fun, thats why they invented to donut floaty!

Last weekend was a blast hanging out with friends here in Vero. We did some floaty surfing, mini barrels, stand-up paddling, and merky diving.

Jakeh Bradley dropping in on the shorebreak with a donut! I always knew that surfing and donuts made sense...

This is what we here in FL call surf. Nate Gallagher getting shacked!

Here's a lil slide show of some more shenanigans from the weekend.

This post makes me hope for two things: Bigger surf, and better water clarity! But I'll take time with friends any day. :)

Stoked. Hope you are all having a great week! HumpDay!

Float On with Calvary Chapel Vero Beach. by Nathaniel Harrington

My wife and I had the privilege of heading north to Cocoa Beach this past tuesday to have some fun in the Sun & Surf with the Calvary Chapel Vero Beach Youth Group for this years youth camp "Float On".

The morning brought us perfect surf conditions for all ages and abilities, 1-2ft with offshore winds.  That meant that everyone could comfortably spend time in the water! We surfed, body surfed, blow-up mattress surfed, and skimmed. Along with the action we had some great teaching & worship to make the day perfect. If I was still a teenager I would have signed up and soaked up everyday of that camp!

Surf was good!!

Just a few images to show the fun! I shot a bunch of video instead of photos to hopefully make an edit with! I'll try to get that out soon. It'll tell the story better than I can.

The Vero Beach youth group is a pretty rad bunch of kids to hang out with! Amped I got to join in. Thanks guys!

Sloppy Surf with good surfing and sloppy shots. by Nathaniel Harrington

Summed up the description on this post. Here are a few surf shots from the past week & weekend where I have seen some fairly good surf and some pretty sloppy surf. I shot with a few guys who surf really well, and I have managed to ruin a lot of perfectly good moments...

Here's a few moments I wish turned out better... but, oh well. There's always more to learn and get better at in surf photography! I'm just glad that I have friends who rip!

Keith found the funkiest wave we've ever seen. It jacked up just as he dropped in to give him this joy ride. The conditions were a little unusual this morning at Monster Hole. Well surfed Keith!

One that snuck by...

Keith checking out mini tubes at Monster Hole.

Those shots were from last friday morning. My first time shooting at Monster Hole. There was a heavy southerly wind bouncing me around everywhere and a lot of current moving all of us around. It was a trick to get any work at all done. Super thankful for the opportunity to swim out there though!

These shots are from a week ago... Surfed with Nate & Jim Gallagher at Sebastian Inlet. It was a lot of fun out there this morning but there really weren't to many waves for them to surf. Nate's first wave is the one shown below and it was the best wave of the session. Otherwise we were pretty much just bobbers waiting for sharks out there. :)

Tube! Nate Gallagher found the best  corner he could have found right here.

A little later a wave allowed for a quick bottom turn and he drove through the crashing lip. Well surfed.

Pastor Jim Gallagher found a couple fun corners on the inside.

It's been fun and we are blessed to have surf! Hope it keeps on coming in!

Thanks for checking in.
