Finding Gold. by Nathaniel Harrington

Finally got a decent swell again at the Inlet. This morning had a few really good moments!

Check these guys out.

David Speir paddled out and his first wave scored a 10 point ride.

Chauncey Robinson was all about the green room this morning. If it was big and steep he was all over it.

Super fun session!

Thanks for checking in,

Friday Morning. by Nathaniel Harrington

Good Morning!

I have a fun post for you here! Last Friday was one of those winter mornings that make me really appreciate Vero Beach. My pre-sunrise swim with some very good looking Barrels.

Have a look at what I was able to capture last week.

For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar-- the LORD Almighty is his name. -Isaiah 51:15

I'm so thankful for the beauty we have within our daily reach. We live in an amazing place.

Gifts with T's. by Nathaniel Harrington

Hey Guys!

So as I was packing this T for Stephen when I figured that I would give him something extra to say thank you for the support and for being stoked to wear a T with my work on it! Makes sense to me.

So, to the first 100 online orders I will be giving out a special piece, handmade, of some sorts. I'm not saying that it will be a matted 5x7 of the image on the shirt, it could turn out to be something totally different and that's where the fun is. I've got some pretty sweet ideas that I can do very affordably, so order a T and see what you get!

You can find these Men's T's along with Women's Tanks in the "Shop" tab on this site. Or click "here".

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Meet the Robinson's. by Nathaniel Harrington

Meet Wiley and Chauncey Robinson, solid surfers out of central Florida. I've known them for a few months now, and its been a blast. Super stoked to be able to shoot with these guys!

We caught some fun swell over the weekend and managed a few shots. Here ya go.

We'll start with Thursday Evening at Ft. Pierce. The surf was fairly clean but pretty wonky. It was tough to line up for shots out there, but we got a few!

Wiley Robinson, Slob Grab into the sky.

Chauncey Robinson, Indie grabs all day.

Chauncey Robinson, Indie grabs all day.

Forgive the five frame sequences... My Canon 50D shoot 5 frames a second, I guess that's about how long these turns take. To me, it seems like an awkward amount. Decide for yourself.

Chauncey.

I wish there was less water in my face on that last sequence.. I was just a little too close. Fun air by Wiley.

It was beautiful out there, as usual. Wiley was enjoying it.

Sebastian Inlet on Sunday.

David Speir was out and getting barreled as usual.

When that swell hit the sand bar you had better been ready, Wiley was on this one.

Again, David Speir in the above sequence. He finds those barrels! The last frame second to last frame was a bummer seeing! His head just caught the barrel and sent that sheet of water over his face. Just as he rolled past me this barrel hit sand and opened up again. As I emerged from the water out the back of the wave I saw that he had kept going another 30ft or more.. Almost a sick Inlet shot, got pretty close on that one but I will have to keep searching.

Wiley.

Wiley.

Another for Wiley, finding that first peak cover up.

I linked up with Chauncey for a round two on a Sunday afternoon at the inlet. The outcome was fun!

He's got this down.

Sticker shot.

Chauncey finding that rare high tide barrel and making it happen!

Super fun weekend. Lets hope this upcoming weekend gives us some more of this stuff!

Thanks Robinson's.

The Brate Wedding! #thebratedate by Nathaniel Harrington

The Brate Wedding, nothing short of beautiful and fun! The venue for their Ceremony and Reception took place at Rocking H Ranch in Lakeland, Fl.

This Ranch embodies the feel and style of old Florida at its best. From majestic oak trees shading the grounds to old fashioned barns well furbished with antiques and crafty nick-nacks, It truly brings you back to simpler days. A walk on this property is quiet, comforting, and relaxing, making it an outstanding choice as a wedding venue.

Enjoy the photos as we show you the moments of Trevor and Kathleen's joining together as Man & Wife.

Along with this outstanding venue, this couple was such a blast to work with. From the beginning of the day we soon discovered that one of their main goals was to have as much fun as possible and they certainly showed that with their excited expressions and relaxed demeanors.

Getting Ready!

The Bride and her Bridesmaids enjoying the beautiful morning together.

The time was filled with lots of music and laughter as Kathleen's bridesmaids pampered her from the start of the day.

Purchased from Davids Bridal this beautiful bride fell in love with her dress; and for good reason, it looked stunning on her!

The Groom and his Men!

When everyone was dolled up and ready for the big event it was time to capture some first looks with the Bride, her Father and also Brother, but of course with the Groom as well!

The Bride and Groom

Bridal Party Time

Of course Wedding photos are not complete without loads of moments captured of the Bride and Groom. Here are a few of our favorites.

As we all know a wedding isn't just for the Bride and Groom but also for their families. So in honor of that, families photos come without saying!

The Bride, Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom. The Mothers are both wearing the beautiful rings that the Bride had made for them as a special gift.

And finally... the Moment we have been anticipating...

The Ceremony!

At Rocking H Ranch there are many choices when it comes to placing your ceremony. Trevor and Kathleen chose under the Ranch's main stage, a big beautiful Oak Tree strung up with flowing silk sheets. Timed with the setting of the sun this backdrop creates a canopy of dancing light, a perfect scene for the start of a new beginning.

Ushers in position.

One of the most special moments of the day was the time that Kathleen and her father were able to spend with one another as they awaited her big entrance.

To accommodate the arrival of the soon to be Mrs. Brate, the Father of the Groom lent his prized Ford, a 1969 F10 "Annabelle", for this unique entrance. These moments leading to the alter became timeless memories between a loving father and his beautiful daughter.

Here Comes the Bride!

The Kiss! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Brate.

As the guests were being seated in the reception barn, the bride and groom snuck away under the twinkling lights and mossy oaks to enjoy their first moments of being one. The fading daylight ushered in yet another romantic atmosphere for their one of a kind love story.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Brate!

Fun and Laughter filled the reception hall as the toasts were made and stories were told.

The Send Off!

"Our wedding day was more fun and exciting than we ever imagined it to be. There were so many small details that were special to us, and important people there to support us, that made our day so memorable. We chose to do the first look photos, and that was one of our favorite parts of the day. For a bride to see the smile and reaction on her grooms face is something that photos could never fully capture. We loved every moment of the ceremony and pledging our lives to each other through traditional and individual vows that we will remember for a lifetime. There are too many great memories to write in one short story, as it was truly a day will remember for the rest of our lives. To be surrounded by people who love and care about us so much throughout the day was such a blessing. We are so thankful to have had Nate & Tate photography photographing the day, enjoying every moment, and capturing every memory. We will cherish our wedding photos for the many years to come and will remember the day "like it was yesterday" because of their photography."

ASF Surf Comp #2. by Nathaniel Harrington

The ASF Surf Comp Series has been a blast to watch and photograph. Comp #2 was held last week at Paradise Beach Park in Melbourne, Florida. I couldn't be more stoked to spend a beautiful day at the beach supporting the local groms and photographing awesome surf.

First light showing us smaller, but fun and peaky surf.

I always have enjoyed the view from the line-up more.. The morning started out with fantastic conditions.

The surf was pretty much all time for groms like Tommy Coleman, who can actually fit into these well groomed grom-sized barrels.

Tucking in for one of the better barrels of the day, this grom was all time stoked! He's probably still thinking about that one...

Chauncey Robinson likes to start his days with powerful sweeping turns.

... and that was just the warm ups..

He was all over anything that barred, Tommy Coleman opened up his first heat with a few barrel rides, letting him easily slide into the next round.

He was all over anything that barred, Tommy Coleman opened up his first heat with a few barrel rides, letting him easily slide into the next round.

I haven't met this grom yet, but he's powerful young surfer. One more blast on the close-out to finish the wave.

As the heats were going through it was fun to watch the difference in age groups as well as the styles of surfing. Some heats it was vertical turns and fin free hacks, other heats the swell lined up for long turns and cut backs. Each heat the surfers had to adapt to the quickly changing conditions.

Another barrel from Tommy Coleman, just because.

I didn't shoot a ton of the comp itself. I got in for a few heats when the surf looked fun and when there were competitors out that I have already known. It is my goal to not be a distraction as I know that the competitors need to focus and my presence in the water could throw that off if they are not yet used to it. That being said, I will love to meet all the competitors at some point to get photos for you whether its free surfing or in a jersey. Feel free to introduce yourself to me at the next ASF Surf Comp.

A special thanks goes out to Chad Carr and Skye Robinson for all their hard work.

I had a lot of fun! Its great to see the level of competition happening in Florida, keep it up! Thanks to everyone letting me shoot photos of the action. I look forward to next time.
